The Oklahoma City Thunder are only shooting 39% from the floor and 28.4% from three point range in the playoff series against the Dallas Mavericks and small forward Kevin Durant’s play has a lot to do with that. Durant has started both games against the Mavericks so far in this series and he is averaging 35.5 minutes, 22.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. On the surface those are pretty good numbers, but dig a little deeper and you see a much different picture. Durant is 14 of 48 (29.2%) shooting from the floor and 4 of 17 (23.5%) shooting from three point range so far in this series. When his shot isn’t falling, he need to pass the ball more. The Thunder need Durant to step up his game starting tonight in Game #3 vs. the Dallas Mavericks.
